Hollis A. Gilley

Hollis A. Gilley, 103, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021.  He was born in Washington, IN on January 12, 1918 to James Elvis and Winnie Beuthel (Mattison) Gilley.  Hollis married the love of his life, Alice, and together they raised a family.  He was employed for many years as an engineer with the railroads.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family.
Hollis leaves behind his children, Ronald (Linda) Gilley and Karla Kay (Richard) Payne; his grandchildren, Jennifer Gilley, Eric Gilley, Dana (William) Grigsby, Steven (Heather) Brown, Carla (Kurt) Holda; and six great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Alice.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon Friday, April 16, 2021 from 4:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Echo Meadows Church of Christ Oregon, Ohio at 11:00 a.m.  Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
