Henneman Earns Season’s Second WHAC Wrestler of the Week

Nick Henneman (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season after remaining undefeated for the Gray Wolves at 141 pounds.
 
Henneman went 4-0 on the week at the Campbellsville Duals to improve his record to 11-0 overall.
 
Henneman began Saturday’s action registering a fall over Truett McConnell’s Matthew Johnson just 26 seconds into the contest as 15th-ranked Lourdes scored a 37-10 victory as a team.  In match two of the day, the fifth-year senior earned a 12-9 decision over 13th-ranked Trent Leon of Reinhardt.  The Gray Wolves fell 34-4 against the fifth-ranked NAIA program.
 
In his third match of the day, Henneman registered a pin over Cole Fort of Campbellsville just 2:02 into the contest.  The Gray Wolves fell to the 11th-ranked Tigers 20-10.  To conclude the day, Heneman scored an 18-1 technical fall in the second period against Cage Leddon as Lourdes upset seventh-ranked Cumberland (Tenn.) 23-20.
Lourdes (9-2) now has a month off before returning to the mat Jan. 6-7 at the NWCA National Duals.  Action will take place inside the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky
