Hayes Presidential planning craft brew event Aug. 28

        Sample craft beer from regional brewers and specialty cocktails while enjoying live music on Saturday, Aug. 28, during Craft Beers & Cocktails at Spiegel Grove.
        The event will be held from 5-8 p.m. at Spiegel Grove, the wooded estate of President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes and grounds of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.
        Participating breweries include Earnest Brew Works of Toledo, Inside the Five Brewing Co. of Sylvania, Twin Oast of Catawba Island and Findlay Brewing Co. of Findlay. Others will be announced at rbhayes.org when they are confirmed.
        With an admission ticket, attendees will receive 10 beer sample tickets to redeem at the brewery stations, as well as a flight of sample cocktails created by Hayes Presidential staff. Additional beer and cocktail sample tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
        Food trucks, including Kitchen 212, which serves gourmet artisan sandwiches, will be on-site to sell dinner and snacks. Food truck fare is not included in the general admission ticket.
        Musical entertainment will be announced at rbhayes.org. There will also be various raffles and a 50/50 raffle.
        Seating is limited, so attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and can spread out on the shady and expansive grounds. Attendees must be 21 years old or older and have valid ID.
        Admission tickets purchased in advance of the event by 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, are $25 for Hayes Presidential members and $30 for non-members.
        Tickets purchased after 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. A designated driver ticket that includes pop and water – but no alcohol – is $10.

        Those who are not vaccinated for COVID-19 are asked to wear a face covering when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
