Harris-Elmore, Genoa libraries offering summer programs
The Harris-Elmore and Genoa Branch libraries are offering a number of virtual programs for families to enjoy this summer.
Registration for the Summer Reading Program, “Imagine Your Story,” begins Monday June 1.
Programs for babies, children, teens and adults are available. Children and teens will track their reading hours to earn candy, small prizes and entries to grand prize drawings. Kids who complete 10 hours before Aug. 8 will receive a T-shirt, a choice of book and a pack of coupons to local businesses.
Non-readers may also participate by listening to books. Adults may also track books for grand prize entries. The Baby Program is not accessible online, however, paper logs are available at the library curbside table.
Sign up for all of the summer reading programs online at harriselmorelibrary.org/summer-reading. Track hours on Wandoo Reader and pick up prizes by calling the library.
Don’t want to participate online? Just call the library and they can track it for you. Paper reading program materials are available at the library’s curbside table during library open hours. Detailed instructions on how to sign up and log hours are available online on Wandoo Reader and attached are to paper materials.
Kids and teens can also earn reading time towards prizes by completing weekly challenges on the library’s Facebook page (or via the challenge section of Wandoo Reader), attending virtual events and watching weekly storytimes on the library YouTube Channel.
