Harold "Ray" Markley Jr.

May 9, 1961 - April 30, 2019

Harold “Ray” Markley Jr. of Oregon, OH passed away at his home in Wildwood, Florida on April 30, 2019 surrounded by his family and friends.

Ray graduated from Clay High School in 1979. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army for 13 years as a Staff Sergeant.  After the service he was employed at CSX Railroad for over 20 years where he served as a Foreman and Union Stewart; he was also employed as an Iron Worker at Local 55 for over 10 years.  He was an avid Harley Davidson Rider and enjoyed riding alongside his brother Mitch.

He is remembered by his wife Rose Markley, his father Harold R. Markley Sr., his “Mom” Sharon Markley,   his children, Alyssa Markley, Olivia Markley (Clint), Harold R. Markley III (Alyssa), Leah Spencer (Jake) and “Grumpy Grampy” to eight grandchildren, lifelong friend and ex-wife Vicki Markley, sister Tina Markley Walsh (Trevor), mother Nelle Bice, stepsister Jennifer Lee (David), stepbrother Mike Bice and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother Mitchell L. Markley Sr.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life on May 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at East Toledo Baptist Church. Military honors will be held at the Willow Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
