Genoa to present “Roaring `20s” Homecoming Celebration

        The 2021 Genoa Homecoming will be held Thursday, June 24 through Saturday, June 26. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Roaring `20s.”
        The schedule of events includes:
        Thursday:
        5 p.m. – Entertainment tent, amusement rides, food vendors and Genoa Chamber of Commerce vendors open. Car show begins.
        6:30 p.m. – Marker unveiling at Town Hall.
        7: 30 p.m. – “Name that Tune,” entertainment tent.
        Friday:
        5 p.m. – Entertainment tent, Civil War Encampment, Military Museum at Heritage Hall, Amusement Rides, Food vendors and Genoa Chamber vendors open.
        6:30 p.m. – Roaring `20s Grand Parade, followed by Genoa mural unveiling.
        7 p.m. – Live music by Risk Factor, entertainment tent.
        7:30 p.m. – Three-point/foul shooting contest, basketball courts.
        10 p.m. – DJ Ultimate Nights, entertainment tent.
        Saturday:
        10 a.m. – 5K run.
        Noon – “National Anthem,” Veterans Memorial Service, Town Hall; Genoa Time Capsule Placement, Town Hall; amusement rides and food vendors open; Wine Tasting, entertainment tent.
        1 p.m. – Garden tractor pull.
        2 p.m. – Cornhole tournament, lot adjacent to entertainment tent.
        4 p.m. – Kiwanis bike giveaway, entertainment tent.
        5 p.m. – 12U Home Run Derby, Lou Thomas Field; 14U Home Run Derby, Donna Hayes Field.
        8 p.m. – Music by Artic Clam, entertainment tent; 14U Home Run Derby Finals, Donna Hayes Field.
        8:30 p.m. – 12U Home Run Derby Finals, Lou Thomas Field.
        10 p.m. – Raffle drawing.
