The Woodmore Schools Foundation presented a donation of $20,000 to the Woodmore Band Boosters to support the purchase of new uniforms for the Woodmore High School Bands.
The contribution will help outfit the band members with updated, high-quality uniforms that reflect the pride and spirit of the Woodmore community.
The donation comes as part of the Foundation's commitment to supporting academic, artistic and extracurricular activities within the Woodmore Local School District.
“The Boosters and the band are grateful for the support of the Woodmore Schools Foundation in helping us complete the process of purchasing new uniforms,” said Janelle Sandwisch on behalf of the band boosters. “The students and staff are excited to look their best when representing the district in the years to come."
The new uniforms will replace the attire that has been used for over 13 years.
“The Woodmore Schools Foundation is proud to support such a talented group of students,” said Foundation board member Grant Cummings. “Our bands are an important part of Woodmore’s identity and have a long history of excellence. We are thrilled to be able to contribute to the continued success of the bands and the students of Woodmore Schools.”
The Woodmore Band hopes to debut the new uniforms, which will serve both marching and concert band needs, later this school year, possibly at a spring concert.
