End of summer mermaid sighting
The scissors go up and up as local mermaids were spotted cutting their hair at Maumee Bay State Park, leaving behind donations for CWHL (Children With Hair Loss). They are hoping to make the hair cutting a family-friendly annual event next summer, inviting mermaids, pirates, drum-circle enthusiasts and sand castle building that will encourage others to grow their hair out an extra 8 inches or more. More information will be announced in the summer of 2021. CWHL is a non-profit organization that provides human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults facing medically-related hair loss. Donations have been down this year due to COVID-19.
