Lake Twp. – A McComb, OH., man was arrested July 15 after allegedly running a stop sign and then fleeing the scene when police attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
Rick Deal, 50, was charged with obstructing official business, failure to comply with a police order, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a stop sign violation. Police said an officer observed Deal going through a stop sign at the corner of Libbey and Luckey roads without stopping. He then proceeded after police signaled for him to stop and exited his vehicle and ran to a wooded area.
He was located with assistance from a Perrysburg Township canine unit.
