Clay Limelighters to present spring musical, “Big Fish” April 1-3

Clay High School Limelighters will present the hit musical, “Big Fish,” Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 at 3 p.m. in the high school auditorium, 5665 Seaman Rd., Oregon.
Adapted from the celebrated 1998 novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, the musical celebrates the extraordinary in everyday life.
“Big Fish” tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest – and then some. Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, doesn’t think there’s any truth to the extravagant tales of his father meeting witches, kissing mermaids or joining the circus.
When Edward’s health begins to decline, Will must decide whether to accept his father’s wild stories as truth or risk losing what he is searching for. Overflowing with heart and humor, “Big Fish” is an endearing, heart-touching musical that reminds audiences why they love going to the theatre – for an experience that’s richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.
Reserved seating tickets are available at claylimelighters.org. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and
students $10. Only general admission tickets will be available at the door.
