Clay girls place fourth

In Three Rivers Athletic Conference girls golf, Curtice resident Payton Donnelly, a freshman at St. Ursula, is first team all-league as the Arrows won the league championship by scoring 79½ points.
In two 18-hole shootouts, Donnelly shot 83 at Red Hawk, 78 at Eagles Landing and 83 at Stone Ridge, and in two nine-hole rounds at Maumee Bay, she shot a 40 on the front nine and 38 on the back.
St. Ursula won the league meet, shooting a 336. They were led by Paige Zolciak, who was medalist at the league meet, shooting a 76.
In the league standings, St. Ursula was followed by Notre Dame (69), Clay (52½), Findlay (39), Whitmer (22½) and Fremont Ross (21). Clay shot 392 to finish third at the league championship meet.
Clay had two seniors, Maddie Huss and Cali Jo Quigg, on the All-TRAC second team. Huss had scores of 95, 87, 89, 54 and 48, while Quigg shot 103, 88, 88, 53 and 42.
Another Clay senior, Ellie McVicker, is honorable mention after recording scores of 95, 93, 100, 42 and 51.
