Bon Secours Mercy Health is among 39 U.S. employers that received 2020 Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-Being awards presented at the Business Group’s virtual Workforce Strategy 2020 Conference. Bon Secours Mercy Health received a Silver Award for its Be Well employee well-being program.
“Bon Secours Mercy Health’s vision to be where associates want to work, clinicians want to practice, people seek wellness and communities thrive, starts with associates being their best self,” said Bon Secours Mercy Health Chief Human Resources Officer Joe Gage. “The well-being program, Be Well, helps guide associates on their personal and lifelong journey to good health and well-being.”
Be Well is designed to create environments that make the healthy behaviors easier, provide resources to guide healthy behavior and empower associates to live their best lives. Associates and eligible spouses engage with the program, accessing resources like online coaching, webinars, activity tracking, challenges and health management programs.
Participation is incentivized with a Health Reimbursement Account contribution and yearly sweepstakes. Annual requirements include an online well-being assessment and biometric health screening. As an outcomes-based program, participants are incentivized to address their health opportunities through Lifestyle and Health Management programs.
Ellen Kelsay, President and CEO, Business Group on Health, commented: “On behalf of the entire Business Group, I’d like to congratulate Bon Secours Mercy Health on being named a best employer for excellence in health and well-being. This year was especially difficult for companies as they faced many challenges to keep their workers engaged, productive and healthy.
