Brooke Allen to play at Ohio Northern

Woodmore 6-foot-1 senior post Brooke Allen, a Division IV Special Mention All-Ohio selection and this year’s unanimous Alan Miller Jewelers All-Press Girls Basketball Team Player of the Year, will play collegiately at NCAA Division III Ohio Northern University.

Allen averaged a double-double 21.8 points and 11.8 rebounds, plus 1.3 steals, 1.4 blocks and she shot 52 percent from the field and was a unanimous choice for Alan Miller Jewelers All-Press Player of the Year.

Woodmore went 23-3 overall and at 12-2 in the Northern Buckeye Conference, sharing the title with Division III district finalist Elmwood (20-4, 12-2) and the ‘Cats reached the D-IV district finals. 

The Ohio Northern Polar Bears finished their abbreviated 2020-21 season with a 7-8 record and were 5-7 in OAC play. ONU also reached the semifinals of the OAC Tournament under first-year head coach Mark Huelsman.
