Boomfest

The City of Oregon announced it will hold its 10th annual Boomfest at the Grove Firewarks show and free concert on Saturday, July 6 from noon until midnight at Oak Shade Grove, 3624 Seaman Road, home of the German American Festival.
Entry, entertainment, and parking for “Boomfest at the Grove” are all free.
The event will include food, drinks and fun activities for adults and kids. The “Cruisin’ the Grove Car Show” will run from noon until 4:30 p.m. New this year will be a video gaming trailer and obstacle course. Other kids’ and family activities include a bounce house, face painting, a nine hole miniature golf course, sand volleyball, and wagon-pulling Clydesdale horses with free rides, and lots more.
The regional Powerlifting Competition will take place from noon-5 p.m. Detailed information on this event is on the city’s website at www.oregonohio.org.
The Band Arctic Clam and Amelia Airharts will perform throughout the evening starting at 6:15 p.m. The national headliner act will be announced on June 29. The featured performer will take the stage at 8:45 p.m. and play right up until the fireworks. Live music will begin again after the fireworks show and continue until midnight.
“We are excited to once again partner with local businesses to present a fun event for our Oregon community,” said Mayor Mike Seferian.
