Ashland Church hosts egg hunt for Starr students

It was an egg-citing time Saturday, April 16 as Ashland Church, 2350 Starr Ave., Oregon, sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt for Starr Elementary School students. Church members donated plastic, candy-filled eggs and created a festive atmosphere for the event, with brightly colored flags, pinwheels and balloons. Children were divided into age groups, and each child went home with more than 30 eggs. Diane Karoly, from Ashland Church, organized the event with many volunteers helping out, including Dr. Jeff Cooper, pastor of the church (aka the Easter Bunny). The church looks forward to an even bigger event next year, Cooper said.
