Angela Marie Dunn

Angela Marie Dunn, “Our Pray Warrior,” has triumphantly joined her adored Jesus after 91 years of living, loving, and serving. She was born to William and Marie (Maire) Wasserman in Toledo, Ohio on July 7, 1929.  Angela married Charles “Dick” Dunn on November 27, 1948. She attended St. Ignatius Grade School, Olney High School and was Valedictorian and Popularity Queen in 1946. Her talents included waitressing at Chippewa Golf Club, secretary at Hirzel Canning Company, Avon saleswoman, organizing young women of Curtice to collect contributions for flowers at the death of a community member.

Dick and Angela were parents to 6 children, active members of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, worked in the car industry and loved to explore with their family in their trailer. They traveled to all states but Alaska.

In her “spare time” Angela was active in the Curtice Card Club, Cardinal Stritch Biretta Club, and golfed at Hidden Hills. She was involved in Stone Craft Ministries and coordinated Bible studies for 25 yrs. As a member of Foundation Stone Christian Church she helped with the nursery and MOPS program and was in a cell group.  In the 1980’s, Angela and Dick traveled to Europe and connected with her French relatives. She wrote them for 40 years. On her 90th birthday she received a book documenting her visits in pictures, a Zoom call, and a song sung by them. Angie’s final trip was to the Holy Land.

Angela was a loving mother and friend, she was welcoming, she said to invest in your children as they are the one thing you will take with you out of this world. Angela was her warm, sweet self to the end.

Angela leaves behind her children, Sue Ann (Frank) Westmeyer, Diane (Ron) Terry, Richard (Norma) Dunn, Jo Ann (Mike) Walsh, Angela (Matt) Kutz, son-in-law Mark (Laura)  Kauder; sisters, Elsie Dippman, Vi Gahler, Jane Cjaka, and Verna Konesky; sister-in-law, Nancy Wasserman; brother, Leo Wasserman; and a dear friend Karen Dietrich  and a multitude of nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephew, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
