Alvin L. Cutcher

Alvin L. Cutcher, 82, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. Alvin was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio on July 25, 1939, the only son of Herbert L. and Eleanor (St. Benore) Cutcher. He met the love of his life, Patricia A. (Majewski) and on August 10, 1957, in Monroe, Michigan, they married, and for the next 64 years enjoyed life together.
Alvin was retired from the GM Powertrain, in Toledo in 2000, after 38 years. During retirement, he and Pat spent the next 20 years wintering in Venice and Bushnell, Florida. They also enjoyed traveling, visiting Hawaii, Alaska, and Mexico, among many other destinations. Alvin had a special love for his grandchildren and looked forward to all their camping trips where they fished and enjoyed the outdoors. When there was a gathering of friends or family, he looked forward to a lively Euchre or 7-Up card game! On a nice day, Alvin could be found working in the yard, or on his cars and if the weather was not so good, he worked indoors on remodeling projects. Even though he loved to be on the go, he relished being home eating a great meal cooked by his wife Pat.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife; Pat, daughter; Linda M. (Dennis) Grau, son; Bruce L. (Karen) Cutcher, grandchildren; Josh (Ashley) Cutcher, Amanda (Liz Honegger) Cutcher, Jason (Leah Richardson) Grau and Chelsie (Jason) Bowman, great granddaughters; Emma and Josie Cutcher. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julia Carros.
