Alberna R. Taylor

Alberna R. Taylor, 93, of Curtice, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  She was born on October 29, 1927 to Walter H. and Marie M. (Winterhalter) Duty.  Alberna was a graduate of Genoa High School in 1945.

Alberna married James C. Taylor on December 3, 1947 in Oregon, Ohio.  She was a devoted homemaker who saw to every detail. She enjoyed the company of her family and delighted in baking and preparing meals for them. Alberna and her immediate family, took pleasure in many camping and fishing trips. In her final years, Alberna found much comfort in her grandson’s dog, Liberty. 

Alberna is survived by her grandson Brandon Macklenar, his fiancée Jackie Harpel, and extended family. Alberna was thankful for the help from her nephew Richard (Susan) Taylor, and her loving neighbors Mark (OraLee) Macklenar. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James of 70 years; daughter, Sharon Tobasko; and brothers, Arnold, Orville and Melvin Duty.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, Ohio.  The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
