Fall Pond Clinic
The Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District will present a Fall 2021 Pond Clinic Monday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Oregon Recreation Soccer Fields Pavilion, 5401 Starr Avenue Ext.
This event will help current and future pond owners or developers learn about best management practices for creating/maintaining habitat, fish stocking, weed control and other aspects of maintenance to increase the overall quality and in turn, enjoyment of a pond.
Guest speaker will be Tory Gabriel, Fisheries Outreach Coordinator and Extension Program Leader for the Ohio Sea Grant College Program.
The Pond Clinic is free, however, pre-registration is appreciated by either visiting LucasSWCD.org/pond-clinic or calling 419-893-1966.

Wood SWCD annual
election & open house
The Wood Soil & Water Conservation District will host its Annual Election & Open House Sunday, Sept. 19 from 1-4 p.m. at the Middleton Township Building, 21745 N. Dixie Highway, Bowling Green.
Area families are invited to stop by the free event, and enjoy yard games, food and an opportunity to meet the board of supervisors and staff. Spend a few minutes or the afternoon.
Residents and landowners 18 and older are eligible to cast their ballot for one candidate to fill an open seat on the board of supervisors. Incumbent Kristopher Swartz is the nominee.
