Grants awarded by AgCredit

A local fire department, a club sponsored by an American Legion Post and a non-profit organization are among the recipients of grants awarded by AgCredit.
The lender recently announced the 2019 winners of the Mission Fund will receive a total of $84,000. Applicants were selected for funding based on criteria in four areas: education, environment, technology and quality of rural life.
The Lindsey Volunteer Fire Department is receiving $14,905 for an agricultural-focused rescue trailer.
The Calf Club sponsored by Pemberville American Legion Post 183 will receive $7,095 that will be used to strengthen the roof structure and increase the ventilation of an existing barn.
Parker’s Purpose, Sandusky County, is receiving $7,000 to purchase iPads for parents and educators to help children with autism better communicate.
-Other winners are: Cardington Vocational Agriculture Farm Association, Morrow County, $15,000.
-Putnam County Ohio Swine Improvement Committee $15,000.
-Ohio FFA Foundation, Franklin County, $15,000.
-Van Wert County Junior Fair Board.
Organizations can apply for Mission Fund grants up to $15,000. The 2020 application process begins in March.
