Ottawa SWCD Tree Sale
Orders are being accepted for Ottawa Soil & Water Conservation District’s Annual Tree Sale through Friday, March 28. A wide variety of plants is available for spring delivery.
 
Evergreen varieties are sold in packets of 10 and include Colorado Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, Northern White Cedar and Bald Cypress.
 
Ohio Buckeye, River Birch, Redbud, Red Oak, Swamp White Oak, Red Maple, Northern White Cedar, Sycamore, Tulip Poplar and American Elm are also available.
 
Back by popular demand are Wildlife Tree, Pollinator Tree and Wild Berry packs, which include five different types of native trees to help produce a welcoming habitat for wildlife.
 
Order and pay online or download a tree order form by visiting ottawaswcd.com or call 419-898-1595 to request a form by mail.
 
Prices range from $10-$30. Early ordering is encouraged as supplies are limited. Funds raised from the sale go to support district education programs.
 
Community Ag Breakfast
The Ottawa County Community Ag Breakfast will be held Friday, March 21, at 8 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor.
 
Guest speaker will be Brian Baldridge, director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, who provides leadership for the agriculture industry and oversees numerous regulatory, food safety and consumer protection programs for the State of Ohio.
