If you want to check out a good brand of hockey next year, watch a Toledo Cherokees Junior A hockey game at the Toledo Ice House on Alexis Road.

Many of the players, ages 17-20, go on to play collegiately or professionally, and a ticket to a game is affordable.

Rick LaFountain hits 500 wins in his 53rd season

Oak Harbor senior Brenen Ish and junior Kyle Glaser are the Rockets’ only returning letter winners from the 2019 tennis season.

“We have a bunch of athletic kids. I am hoping for continued improvement throughout the season,” Oak Harbor coach Rick LaFountain said.

Genoa baseball returns 12 letter winners from a team that went 14-8 in 2019.

They include junior first baseman and pitcher Seth Witt, who was first team All-NBC as a freshman.
