On championship night in 2019, the Fremont driver won the feature but fell two points short of claiming the track championship.

The Clay girls tennis team finished fourth in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference, scoring 24 team points to tie with Findlay.

Duquette-Schiets win league title

In Sandusky Bay Conference tennis, Oak Harbor was 11-9 overall and 6-7 in the league with one match remaining against Port Clinton last week. If PC won, they tied Willard for the SBC title.

Lake volleyball seeking first league title in 44 years

Lake volleyball is seeking its’ first league title since 1976, when the Flyers competed in the Northern Lakes League.

That was long before rally scoring took effect and the high school game has changed in multiple ways since then, says Lake coach Amy Vorst, whose team is 17-2.

Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt (Genoa/University of Akron) earned the win over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday in Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series Wednesday night — his first Major League playoff victory.
