A bill that would give owners more autonomy over their rental units has been passed out of committee in the Ohio House of Representatives.
The House Local Government Committee held its fourth and final hearing recently before passing it by a vote of 9-4.
Long time Oregon City Administrator Mike Beazley is planning to retire in the next few months.
He wants to make sure the city has enough time to work through an adequate search and transition process.
Lucas County Sheriff Michael J. Navarre will appear at a Jerusalem Township Trustee meeting on May 24 at 7 p.m. to discuss the end of road patrols unless the township can raise enough funds for the service.

As I am writing this column, we are in the middle of National Police Week (May 8-14). We are lucky to work in a relatively safe area where we are supported by a great majority of the residents.
