Ottawa County Common Pleas Court Judge Bruce Winters has recused himself from an assault case involving Matt Damschroder, the former mayor of Elmore.
In a court filing, the judge writes he has requested the Ohio Supreme Court appoint a visiting judge to hear the case.

The Oregon Planning Commission at its last meeting on April 21 approved of a Conditional Use permit in an A-1 Agricultural Zoned District for a family cemetery at 1745 S. Wynn Road.
The City of Oregon plans to eliminate up to 25 positions through attrition next year, saving about $2 million, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
City Administrator Mike Beazley made the comments at a recent council meeting.
