The U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency began accepting nominations for county committee members on June 15.
Elections will occur in certain Local Administrative Areas for the members who make decisions about how federal farm programs are administered locally.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has identified box tree moth (cydalima perspectalis) in the United States. This is the first detection of this invasive species in the nation.
