Governor Mike DeWine called on the public to keep wearing masks and practice social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as Ohio moves through its most intense, widespread, and dangerous surge of cases.

Governor Mike DeWine last week announced that 82 of Ohio's 88 counties are now considered high incidence counties as defined by the federal government. This means that these counties have seen more than 100 cases per 100,000 residents in the last two weeks.
Governor DeWine last week cautioned that the continuing increase in COVID-19 cases indicates that significant numbers of infections are likely this winter unless the public takes steps to mitigate and control the spread of the virus.
