Riverview therapists initiate new programs

Riverview HealthCare Campus’ nine therapists and therapy assistants have been working on new programs that have been very successful in speeding up the recovery process on short stay patients.

One of the programs recently initiated at the center is the “Claudia Allen” program, which is an assessment tool used to determine a more accurate picture of what help patient will need at home in order to maintain optimal independence.

Currently, in this country, over 40 million people have been given some kind of diagnosis of arthritis. By definition, arthritis refers to any irritation and/or degeneration of the smooth joint surfaces of the body. Arthritis can range from the very mild, in which there is vague, generalized aching, to the very severe, in which case there is significant pain, swelling and disability.

Seeking Oregon’s next top director

Oregon-area teens looking for those proverbial 15 minutes of fame are invited to get some friends together and shoot a commercial for the Oregon Community and Family Coalition’s Public Service Announcement Contest.

The video must address the issues of substance abuse among youths. For example marijuana, underage drinking/binge drinking, prescription drugs, or substance abuse in general. The content should be clean and appropriate.
