On Friday, July 19, faculty, Terra State Community College staff and administration came together, put on work gloves and cleaned the college’s campus.
“Us coming together for this campus cleanup helps make the campus look the way we want to be seen: as the leaders in higher education,” Terra State President Dr. Ronald Schumacher said. “Thank you to everyone who came out and helped.”
Many people worked on painting the railings, curbs, lettering and light poles while others trimmed bushes. Even the intense heat did not stop the volunteers.
Director of Human Resources Jeremy McLaney helped organize the event. “It was a fun time to get together and be productive, while at the same time enjoying each other’s company,” he said. “We’re also thankful for AVI’s support by providing us with lunch after being outside in the heat.”
