Stevenson, O’Connor lead Rangers

The last time Northwood won a Toledo Area Athletic Conference boys golf championship was 2005.
        A couple Rangers, senior Aaron Stevenson and sophomore Eli O’Connor would like to change that. Ottawa Hills remains the favorite to win the championship, says Northwood coach Reese Snyder, but “the rest will battle for runner-up.”
        Last year’s team finished 10-31 in total dual matches and fifth in the TAAC, but coach Reese Snyder, in his 24th season, returns six lettermen.
        Snyder says O’Connor is his most improved and you can add freshman Cecil Niederkorn “has been working hard at the game,” to the mix.
        Still, Snyder says his team remains young and inexperienced, but has noticed an “excitement for the game” from this year’s squad.
