Roud Chester Klag

Roud Chester Klag, former resident of Oregon, OH, passed away at the age of 73 on Monday August 9, 2021. He was born on January 1, 1948 in Toledo, OH.

Roud was a graduate of Clay High School in 1966 and Bowling Green State University in 1970. Roud was a teacher at Clay High School and a supervisor at Penta County. He was a business owner of Klag Real Estate Appraisal Company and later worked as the Zoning and Planning Inspector for the City of Perrysburg.

Roud’s other activities included President of Perrysburg High School Boosters, President and Coach for Perrysburg Youth Soccer, camping, fishing and golfing. He was a natural musician and played in the bands: Fensemen, Gary Shope and the Sons of the      Purple Sage, Independent Klaws, and the Ed Allen Band.

He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Nancy Nissen Klag (Dunedin, FL), daughter Sally Klag Dale (Dunedin, FL), son Russell Klag (Dunedin, FL), and son Ben Klag (Lexington, KY), sister Tate Wilson (Toledo, OH), brother Rick Klag (Oregon, OH), and seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Lee Klag and his parents Robert and Frieda Klag.Following his wishes, he will be laid to rest in Dunedin Municipal Cemetery.
