Penta Career Center to host “Cruise-in” Car Show Sept.25

        The Automotive Technology and Automotive Collision Repair programs at Penta Career Center will host a “Cruise-In” Car Show, Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 5-8 p.m. on the Penta campus, located at 9301 Buck Rd. in Perrysburg.
        All types of vehicles and motorcycles are welcome to participate. Vehicle owners are admitted free of charge as long as they bring a non-perishable food item, (peanut butter, boxed macaroni, cereal, canned meat, etc.) or a personal hygiene item (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.) to donate to the Penta Pantry.
        The pantry helps Penta students and their families who are in need of assistance.
        Awards will be presented to vehicle owners in the following various categories including People’s Choice, Penta Alumni, Superintendent’s Choice, and Best Motorcycle.
        Other Cruise-In activities will include music and door prizes such as car care kits, gift certificates and products from several Penta programs.
        Penta students who are members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) will have activities for children in the “Kids’ Garage.” Cosmetology students will provide haircuts for a $5 minimum donation, with proceeds benefiting the Penta Pantry.
        Food will be available for purchase from several food trucks. Tours of Penta’s Automotive Technology and Automotive Collision Repair programs will also be available.
