Ottawa County: Grand jury indicts 18 on various offenses

The Ottawa County Grand Jury has issued indictments against 18 persons during its most recent session, according to James VanEerten, prosecuting attorney.
-Jami Wyatt, of Millbury, was indicted on multiple counts of bribery, witness intimidation, retaliation, extortion and obstructing justice.
-Tremaj C. Rollison, Shaquez Harris, Brinaldo Buford, and Joshua Lewis, all of Sandusky, were indicted on a count of theft of a motor vehicle, after they and two juveniles allegedly stole two golf courts on Put in Bay.
-Alvin Wilson was indicted on multiple weapons charges after being stopped on the Ohio Turnpike for a traffic offense. He is also being held for extradition to California, where a warrant has been issued for his arrest in connection with a murder.
-Jeffery A. Sterling and Shelbee N, Weemes, both of Toledo, were each charged with two counts of theft, vandalism, and breaking and entering after they allegedly trespassed on government property and stole catalytic converters from at least three vehicles.
-Cainen M. Meeks, was indicted on 100 counts of possession of child pornography.
-Dale Velliquette, Oak Harbor, was charged with one count each of carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a firearm after he was stopped by Oak Harbor police for a traffic offense.
-Zachary Young, Gypsum, was charged with drug possession after Danbury Township police reportedly found him in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
-Shawndrae Durane, Fremont, was indicted on felony counts of failure to comply and drug possession after he allegedly led Highway Patrol troopers on a high speed chase and discarded more than 20 pounds of marijuana.
-Jordan Kessler, Millbury, was indicted on two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence and a felony count of disrupting public service after he allegedly was involved in an altercation with two family or household members and prevented the victims from contacting authorities.
-Miles Fabian, Oak Harbor, was indicted with possession of drugs after a traffic stop by sheriff’s deputies allegedly found cocaine.
-Sandra Barnes, Lakewood, was indicted on one count each of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after allegedly possessing crystal meth during a traffic stop.
-Dustin Pollard was charged with possession of drugs, operating a vehicle while impaired and other traffic offenses.
-Leon Brandt, Gibsonburg, was indicted on felony charges of drug possession and tampering with evidence.
-Brandi Schimming, Martin, was charged with one felony count of drug possession.
Warrants were issued for the arrest of Wyatt, Wilson, Meeks, Pollard, Weemes and Sterling. The others are scheduled to make their initial appearance in common pleas court this month.
