Northwood wrestling turns 60

The Northwod wrestling program plans to celebrate its 60th anniversary as a program when it hosts the Jim Derr Memorial Invitational on Dec. 3-4. Coach Nick Encheff is looking for information on the program’s history, help from the wrestling community, and would like to get in touch with former wrestlers who wish to participate. 

The plan is to honor each decade of wrestlers and coaches prior to the finals on Dec. 4 and display memorabilia over the tournament weekend. Encheff adds that a social event is being arranged for wrestlers and coaches on Thursday, Dec. 2, prior to the tournament at Prime Thyme restaurant, which has space for 75 people.
