No settlement

The Lake Township trustees met in executive session Tuesday to discuss a lawsuit pending in Wood County Common Pleas Court but emerged from the meeting about 1 ½ hours later with no announcement of an agreement.
The trustees were joined by Mark Hummer, township administrator, Linda Holmes, an assistant Wood County prosecutor, and Matt Harper, an attorney representing Jim Mlynek, owner of Woodville Road Nursery, who has been involved in a zoning dispute with the township.
Holmes is representing the township in the case and filed a complaint last June against Mlynek, alleging he isn’t following township zoning regulations on two parcels he owns and has used to temporarily store piles of leaves before composting them at his nursery business on the other side of Woodville Road.
A Dec. 13, 2019 entry in the online docket of the court states the parties had reached an agreement following a pre-trial telephone conference in November.
But when asked Wednesday morning, Hummer said the parties hadn’t agreed on a settlement
