LEGO Block Party
Families can race against time to build their best LEGO creation on Saturdays, May 4, June 1, July 6 and Aug. 3, from 2-4 p.m. at the Walbridge Library, 108 N. Main St.
Kids of all ages are welcome to join in a LEGO Block Party to build something new. No registration is required. To learn more, visit wcdpl.org/events.
Ladies Night Out
The East Toledo Senior Center will host a Ladies Night Out Fundraiser on Friday, May 17, from 6-10 p.m. at the Navarre Park Shelterhouse, 1001 White St., Toledo.
The cost is $20 per person, which includes entertainment, a photo booth, hors d’oeuvres and three drink tickets (sangria, beer, soda and water). All proceeds benefit center programming.

Free concert set
Perrysburg Chorale will host its last free concert of the 2023-2024 season on Saturday, April 27, at 7 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Rossford.
The program, entitled “With Outstretched Hands,” will feature a number of soloists, percussion and music in various languages.
Flower Sale
The ProMedica Bay Park Hospital Auxiliary will be selling a variety of hanging flower baskets, ferns and succulents May 9-10 from 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the main lobby of the hospital, located at 2801 Bay Park Dr., Oregon. Proceeds from the flower sale will benefit the Auxiliary. Hanging baskets, ferns, succulent bowls and urns will be available for $20 and mini succulents will be available for $10. Cash and checks will be accepted.
Quilters to hold
workshop, meeting
The Maumee Bay Country Quilt Guild will meet for a workshop on Tuesday, May 7, at Northwood Church of God, 3375 Curtice Rd., Northwood.
Sandy Sack and Cindy Butler, of Perfectly Pink Quilt Studio, in Elmore, will lead the workshop for members only from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Members planning to attend the workshop need to register with Londa Burkett and purchase a ruler and book at the Perfectly Pink Quilt Studio in Elmore prior to May 7.
The Guild’s April meeting will be held that evening at 6:45 p.m., also at the Northwood Church of God. Visitors are welcome to attend the meeting. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The representatives from Perfectly Pink Quilt Studio will present the program. The visitors’ fee is $10 for the meeting.
Dog adoption at
county shelter
The Wood County commissioners are holding a weeklong adoption event at the county dog shelter.
National Adopt-a-Shelter-Pet Day is recognized annually on April 30 and Wood County will honor that day by hosting adoptions from April 29 - May 4.
The dog adoption fee of $75 will be reduced to $25 and adopters will be provided with a goodie bag for their new family member. Adopters are encouraged to bring their entire household (dogs included) to meet the dogs before adopting. Adopters will need to purchase a 2024 Wood County dog license for $14.
