Representatives from Nature’s Nursery Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation Education visited Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy on Feb. 4, bringing a few animal friends for students to meet and greet. After the introduction, first-graders participated in an exercise in which they worked together to build a nest. The class utilizes Project Based Learning Units and their introduction to local flora and fauna intersects with the mission of Nature’s Nursery, a local 501(c)(3), which provides medical care to injured, orphaned or ailing wild animals, and conducts conservation educational outreach programs for children and adults.
