Support for annual
egg hunt appreciated
To the editor: The Easter Egg Hunt has been a tradition in Oak Harbor for over 70 years. The weather threw a little wrench in the original plan, but the Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual event this year on Sunday April 2.
More than 400 children received numbers for their Easter candy located at the 10 participating downtown businesses. There were 40 “Golden Egg Baskets” this year, and those who had the lucky numbers received a special gift basket provided by local businesses.
The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the merchants and the individuals who contributed to this year’s Easter Candy Hunt Event. Once again, a community and volunteers working together have brought family and friends into our village for a day of fun.
Please be sure to support the businesses that have generously donated to this event.
We would like to thank the following individuals and businesses for their donations and their help with our annual Easter Candy Hunt: 2022-23 Apple Festival Royalty Court and Families, Apex Custom Concrete & Masonry, Aquafiltration Service Company, Batdorff Real Estate, Blackberry Corners, Boy Scout Troop 316, Buehler Excavating, Chief Mylander-Mid County EMS, Community Markets, Croghan Colonial Bank, Designs By Marie, Drowns Dairy, Eagle Fabrication, Energy Harbor, Greer Automotive, Howard Hanna Real Estate, Howey’s House of Brews, Jason's Pumpkin Patch, Lake Erie Tree Service, Manny Salazar, McDonald’s-Oak Harbor, New Direction Health & Wellness, NWO Propane, Oak Harbor Hardware, Ottawa County Ag Society, Ottawa County Veterans Service Office, Portage Fire District, Priesman Printery, Rainbow Acres Daycare Center, Retired Mayor Fred Conley, RVI Inc., Shores & Islands Ohio, St. Bonore Financial, Superior Service Lawn Care, Thrivent- Jeremy Ashley, Tri Motors, UIS Insurance & Investments, Varga Custom Concrete, Village of Oak Harbor, Village of Oak Harbor Street & Police Departments, Village of Oak Harbor Mayor Quinton Babcock and Wild Brew Coffee.
