James R. Wolfe

James R. Wolfe, 73, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 5, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.  Jim was born April 11, 1948 to Walton and Lucille (Perry) Wolfe in Toledo, Ohio.  For 33 years, Jim worked at Chrysler Machining, Perrysburg, Ohio retiring as area manager in 2003.  He was a 29 year member of the Jerusalem Township Fire Department, serving as Captain and master of ceremonies for the feather party.  He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing Lake Erie for walleye and yellow perch. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.  

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Amber Wolfe.  He  is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan; children, Chandra Reinhart, Eric (Amy) Wolfe, Jaclyn (Kyle) Schilkey, and James (Meredith) Wolfe; grandchildren, Payton (Nick) Keller, Sam Reinhart, Nicholas (Kristen) Wolfe, Christian Schilkey, Cheyenne Schilkey, Paige Schilkey, Greyson Wolfe, and Carter Wolfe; sisters, Analie Roth and Beth Campbell; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm where a fire department memorial service will be held at 7:00pm. Funeral services Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 am in the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the Jerusalem Township Fire Department Association.  Jim’s family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their compassionate care and support.
