Beginning Tuesday, July 6, Imagination Station will be open six days a week.
New hours will be Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday noon-5 p.m. The science center is closed to the public (business offices open) on Mondays.
        July highlights include:
        • Math Moves – opens July 17. Bigger/smaller, faster/slower, heavier/lighter – use your body to explore ratios in the science center's newest temporary exhibit: Using a variety of hands-on activities, this exhibit makes experimenting with math concepts memorable and fun.
        • Water Rocket Challenge – July 24 and 25. Kids will have the opportunity to build their own rocket using provided materials (bottles, paper, tape, water, etc.).
        • July Tinkering Workshops – Come experiment with electrical components like batteries, bulbs, buzzers, switches and more. This is a fun and great way to start learning about circuits. Actual components, used in the real world, are mounted to sturdy smooth wood blocks that are designed for a guest to walk up and start creating electrical connections between everyday objects. See the many possibilities when you build with circuit blocks.
Visitors are also encouraged to check out our new KeyBank Discovery Theater to experience 3D science in Hidden Pacific and/or Superpower Dogs.
Lucas County kids 12 and under get free admission to the science center and a free film every Saturday this summer with the purchase of adult admission or ticket.
The science center will be closed Sunday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
Visit imaginationstationtoledo.org for information on parking, tinkering workshops and show times.
