Harry Jackson Rookie of the Week

Lourdes University’s Harrison Jackson (Lake) has been named to the NCBWA/NAIA Rookie of the Week as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Jackson, a freshman outfielder, helped the Gray Wolves to a four-game sweep of Rio Grande last weekend.  He had three multi-hit games while hitting safely in all four contests.  Jackson batted .556 with 10 hits and scored seven runs.
The Gray Wolf rookie began his career with a four-hit game in the opener, hitting for the cycle.  He added three hits in game two of the opening day doubleheader, and drove home five total runs on the weekend.
Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters, and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Player of the Year Award, Regional Player of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors preseason All-America awards, publication and writing contests.
