Grant Writing workshop

“Grant Writing 101/102: Finding the Right Funder and Writing a Winning Proposal” will be the topic of a free workshop being presented Thursday, Sept. 5 from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation Office, Earl Johnson Ag Building, 240 W. Lake St., Oak Harbor.
Program sponsors include Ottawa SWCD (local host), Environmental Education Council of Ohio (EECO) Region 2, and Ohio EPA, Office of Environmental Education.
The half-day “Grant Writing 101: Finding the Right Funder” workshop offers tips to help identify foundations, corporations and government grant programs and how to approach different kinds of grantmakers.
“Grant Writing 102: Writing a Winning Proposal,” also a half-day program, addresses how to avoid common mistakes and the key to developing realistic objectives, activities and budgets.
Participants will have lunch on their own.
Registration is required. Sign up by emailing dennis.clement@epa.ohio.gov. Registration will be accepted through Aug. 29 or until the workshop has 30 participants.
