The Oregon Clay chapter of the Future Farmers of America has been notified two of its members, Christa George and Elizabeth Jenkins, have placed in the top four in Ohio for their work of proficiency awards.
Christa researched the use of organic fertilizers on large pumpkins and Elizabeth worked last summer at the Ottawa Wildlife Refuge for the Youth Conservation Corps.
Both students will learn their official rankings at the state FFA convention in May in Columbus.
