The Toledo Mud Hens’ Aderlin Rodriguez was named the Triple-A East Most Valuable Player after slashing .290 (batting average), .362 (on-base percentage) and .927 (slugging) with 29 home runs and 94 RBIs during his 2021 campaign.

Eastwood girls soccer is ranked second in the Division III state coaches’ poll behind Cincinnati Country Day (10-0-1). Woodmore (10-2-1) is also receiving votes with both losses coming to Eastwood.

It might be noted that in a non-league dual match this season, Clay defeated Oak Harbor 5-0. In first doubles, Clay’s Rebekah Kolinski and Grace Fortier defeated Emma Hand and Jessa Bolander 7-5, 7-6 in a close match.
