Genoa started strong under first-year coach Glenn Black, defeating Maumee 52-32 and Oak Harbor 53-33, but losing to a much-improved Fostoria squad, 59-47.
More than anything, Black just wants to see his team make gradual progress.

Woodmore had a great run over the last three years. The senior class, which was led by Alan Miller Jewelers All-Press Player of the Year Brooke Allen, won 57 games over the last three seasons, claimed the first league title for the program in 24 years and advanced to the district finals twice.
