The potential is there for Cardinal Stritch boys basketball.
It would be no surprise if this season serves as part of the necessary growing pains the Cardinals had to endure to get back to being one of the area’s better teams.

The Toledo Mud Hens have announced that Matt Melzak will be its head TV and radio play-by-play announcer for the 2025 season. He fills the position left by former Mud Hens broadcaster Jim Weber, who passed away last year.

The Woodmore Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome its second class on Jan. 25 when the 11 newest members are recognized between the JV and varsity boys’ basketball games at the high school gymnasium. The JV game begins at 5:30 p.m., with the recognition at approximately 6:45 p.m.
