On April 14, Lake Elementary School kindergarten, first-grade and second-grade students performed live in the auditorium for the first time in two years. Each grade level performed four songs, directed by Heather Wulff.

R.C. Waters Elementary School in the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District is one of seven schools in the state to be included in a drug education and mentorship pilot program.

The Oak Harbor High School Science Olympiad Team competed at their regional tournament in late February at Bowling Green State University. The team placed sixth overall to qualify for the state competition for the first time in history.
